New Series and Upcoming Banquet

Why do we do what we do as a church? Where are we going? What matters to us? What does God’s word tell us about the church’s mission, vision, and values? These are important questions every church needs to ask. The answers to these questions will help guide a church in—hopefully—a healthy direction. Without solid answers to these questions, however, a church can seem rudderless, blown, and tossed by every new idea or crisis that arises. As we approach our Called to Grow: Branching Out campaign banquet (Sunday, April 14 @ 5 pm), I want to focus our attention as a church on what matters to BCC and where we are headed as we look to the future. Starting this Sunday, we will kick off a month-long sermon series: Called to Grow: BCC’s Foundation.

  • Sunday, April 7- “Growing Young”- Vision. Where are we headed and why? What will it look like when we get there? In this message, we will take a look at why building an intergenerational family is so important for reaching the next generation and is part of God’s design for the church.

  • Sunday, April 14- “Growing Up”- Mission. What is our mission as a church? Why do we exist? Vision is the destination. The mission is our overall purpose as a church. In this message, we will unpack BCC’s mission and how everything we do must be informed by this mission. Curt Nordhielm will be here this Sunday to preach!  In addition, Curt will be hosting the Called to Grow banquet!

  • Sunday, April 21- “Growing Together, Part 1”- Values. What matters to us as a church? What do we want to reflect as a church family? What does the Bible say about what a church should look like? In this message, we will look at BCC’s family values. These values express what matters most to us, how we interact with each other, expectations of what it means to be part of this church family, etc.

  • Sunday, April 28- “Growing Together, Part 2”

If you have not RSVP’d for the banquet yet, please do so! And, please be praying about our building plans, the campaign banquet, and what God would have you give/do to be part of this vision!
