What's Going on at BCC?

This week is an exciting week around here. VBS is in full swing! Lisa and all of her helpers always do such a great job! On top of this, our high schoolers just returned from a week of Christ In Youth at Hope College. I suspect we will hear about life-changing decisions made during both weeks. All of this continues to affirm Bailey's commitment to instilling a resilient faith in young and old alike. Our goal is not simply to provide a one-week experience filled with fun and hype, but rather to see spiritual transformation that continues well beyond the event. Please, join me in praying for this transformation to happen among our young people.

     As we look ahead, I want to share with you a new sermon series that is coming in August called Broken.  Broken is a series about those issues in our society that seem to touch so many personally. Marriage and divorce, gender and sexuality, and the issue of addiction are issues that have torn at the seams of families. What does the Bible say about these issues? And, how are Christians to respond when faced with their own brokenness in these and other areas?  

What I hope we will find is that God wants to meet us in our brokenness and touch us with his grace. While this will not be the first time I have addressed some of these issues, I believe these are matters that are needing ongoing attention in today's culture.
