velocity (5th-8th grade)
"don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 timothy 4:12
When a student reaches Middle School, their lives begin to swirl in many directions as they try to sort out what is happening to them. The swirl of relationships, identify, purpose and so many other developmental components begin to fill their lives. This is the weekly teaching environment for 5th-8th grade students to come find clarity in these areas. Each week, students experience a combination of music, games, teaching, and interaction with a dedicated small group of peers.
Velocity is the speed of something in a given direction. We want students in middle school to be moving fast with purpose. That purpose being personal growth in Christ and the direction we want them to aim that purpose is to those that God places in their way daily. This is the core of what we strive for through relationships and program at BCC when investing in middle school students.
Velocity exists to seek the lost, connect them with God, call them to grow in that relationship, and expose their gifts and talents so they may change the world.

the vine (9th-12th grade)
"I am the vine; you are the branches. those who remain in me, and i in them, will produce much fruit. for apart from me you can do nothing."
John15:5
This is a crucial time for students. Many at this age are already deciding whether they are going to remain in connection with Christ or to disconnect with Him. Our gathering that takes place on Sunday Nights are designed to help students to remain in Christ. We do this through relationship development and equipping of applied Biblical Truth. Our typical night will have a combination of worship, a biblically based message, a hangout time/games and small groups.
The Vine exists to seek the lost, connect them with God, call them to grow in that relationship, and expose their gifts and talents so they may change the world. We strive to live life together as members of God's family. Parents, you have the greatest ability to impact your kids and are called to that task by God.
