Children Are Our Future

BCC family,
As Keith Hill shared yesterday, the elders and staff are excited to announce that we are kicking our children's wing building plans and fundraising back into gear! We believe now is the time to move forward. We have a mission to reach, teach, and protect the youngest among us as we point them to Jesus. Our current accommodations in the basement are not ideal. Lisa and her team have done an amazing job of making the most of it, but with it being downstairs and so many small rooms and dark corners, our children need a better place to thrive.

Likewise, we want BCC to be a lighthouse of hope in our community for young families. We desire to continue our strong mission of reaching these families through youth ministry by creating a fun, inviting, and safe environment for children to learn about Jesus and play. Speaking of which, one of the central items in this plan includes an indoor play area where kids can hang out while parents talk and do life together with other adults. It will also include a spacious area for children's worship, Wednesday night youth group, nursery/toddler, and rooms for small groups to meet. Thus, all of our nursery through 4th-grade ministries will be on the main floor and easily accessible for parents to drop off their children. With this addition going on the west side of our current building, facing M-37, it will shout, "Children and families are welcome here!"

That's enough for now. More will be coming in the days and weeks ahead. But here is what you can do in the meantime:
* Pray for wisdom for our leadership, staff, and church family.
* Pray for God's provision. We know it will be a big endeavor that will stretch our faith and our giving. However, we trust that "Wherever God guides, He will provide!"
* Pray that whatever the evil one might want to throw at us to disrupt our unity or our mission will not be successful. We are not unaware that the devil looks for these sorts of opportunities to throw a monkey wrench in the works.
* Lastly, pray about and consider how you might be able to give toward this dream of expanding our reach to the next generation.

In Him,
Daren
