The mission of Bailey Christian Church is to Glorify God, Go introduce people to Jesus Christ

and call people to Grow in that relationship.

Our Mission

GLORIFY- worship is not something that simply happens one hour every Sunday.  To worship, or glorify God, is a way of life.  At Bailey, we believe God cares not only about what happens in our church building on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights, but also what happens on Tuesday afternoon at school or in the workplace and Saturday night when we’re out with our friends.  All aspects of our lives are meant to be an offering of worship to God (Romans 12:1, 2; Matthew 22:34-40).

GO- our mission is to reach a world with the truth and love of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20).  Everyone of us plays a part in this in our day-to-day lives.  While we support ministries and missionaries around the globe, we also believe BCC is called to impact this community for Christ by loving others, telling them about Jesus and inviting them to be part of our fellowship.  That’s why we talk about having a “glocal” (global+local) view at Bailey.  We believe it is our calling to go both far and near to tell others about Jesus’ love.

GROW- Jesus told his followers in Matthew 28:18-20 not only to bring people to faith in Christ, but also to mature them in Christ.  He said, “teach them everything I have commanded you.”  That is, Jesus assumed that those who initially say, “yes,” to Him will continue to grow to look more like Him as time goes by (Eph. 2:10-16).  It’s our goal, then, at Bailey to call everyone to a maturing faith in Jesus.  This doesn’t mean we will be perfect or that we will never make mistakes.  It means we believe that everyone who is a Christian is capable—because God’s Spirit lives in them—of growing to think and act more like Jesus as they are exposed to His truth, to His community and to the habits of faith.
