Come with honesty\u2014God can handle your questions, your struggles, and your desire to be sure you\u2019re holding the genuine faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 John 5:11-12<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John doesn\u2019t leave the center of the gospel vague: God has already testified, and His testimony is that eternal life is found in His Son. That means assurance isn\u2019t built on your mood, your performance, or your ability to \u201cfeel saved,\u201d but on the reliability of what God has said and done in Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sermon highlighted how counterfeit gospels cut the power out of the cross and resurrection. When you return to the \u201cbona fide\u201d message\u2014Jesus truly came, truly died, and truly rose\u2014you\u2019re not just adopting a religious preference; you\u2019re receiving the very life God gives. Even if Christians differ on some interpretive details, the heart of the passage is clear\u2014Jesus\u2019 baptism, His cross, and the Spirit\u2019s ongoing witness all agree that He is truly the Son of God who saves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">False teaching often sounds close enough to be convincing, but it subtly moves the center: it downplays Jesus\u2019 real incarnation, real suffering, real blood, and real resurrection power. Today\u2019s practice is to test what you believe by the witnesses God provides. When the Spirit leads you, He will not steer you away from the crucified-and-risen Jesus, but toward Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">What parts of Jesus\u2019 story (incarnation, baptism, cross, resurrection) are easiest for you to overlook in daily life?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Name one \u201calmost true\u201d idea about God or faith you\u2019ve heard that actually weakens the cross or the need for repentance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">How have you experienced the Spirit\u2019s ongoing witness\u2014conviction, comfort, clarity, or a deeper love for Christ?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Choose one worship song or hymn this week that is clearly centered on the cross and resurrection; listen and reflect on its message.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">When you encounter spiritual teaching (online, podcasts, conversations), what questions can you ask to test whether it honors the real Jesus?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 John 5:14-15<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John says believers can have confidence that God hears them when they ask according to His will\u2014this is not demanding, not manipulating, and not treating God like an ATM. The sermon emphasized that \u201chears\u201d carries the sense of attentive, favorable listening: God is not distracted, annoyed, or distant when His children come to Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Confidence in prayer grows as your desires are shaped by the bona fide gospel. What does that reveal?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">What is one habitual pattern you want to break in your own life, and who could you invite to pray for you?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Take one concrete action step this week: send an encouraging message, offer to meet, or pray with them in person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Ask God to show you the difference between compassionate intercession and enabling\u2014what boundary or truth might love require?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">1 John 5:18-21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">John closes with steady confidence: God\u2019s children are held securely, the world is under the evil one\u2019s influence, and the Son has come to give understanding so we can know the true God. This doesn\u2019t deny spiritual battle; it anchors you in Christ\u2019s protection and clarity so fear doesn\u2019t run your life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then comes the final, searching word: keep away from anything that might take God\u2019s place in your heart. Counterfeits aren\u2019t always obviously evil\u2014they\u2019re often good things elevated into ultimate things. Today is about honest inventory and wholehearted return.
