follows Jesus\u2019 invitation in Matthew 11: not to add more weight to your life, but to bring your burdens to Him and learn His way of living. Over five days, you\u2019ll move from the exhaustion of performance-based religion into the rest of a real relationship with Christ. Each day builds a simple rhythm of coming, learning, walking, and resting with Jesus in the real world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Matthew 11:28<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus begins with an invitation, not a demand: \u201cCome to me.\u201d That matters because many of us carry an assumption that God mainly asks for more\u2014more effort, more discipline, more proof that we belong. When faith becomes a scoreboard, we either live anxious and exhausted or we pretend we\u2019re fine while quietly feeling like the last one picked, the one who never quite measures up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The sermon reminded us that Jesus isn\u2019t looking to hand you one more spiritual assignment; He offers Himself. Coming to Him means bringing the real you\u2014tired, distracted, ashamed, overextended\u2014and trusting that His welcome is stronger than your weakness. Give me rest.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Matthew 11:25-26<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus praises the Father for revealing truth to \u201clittle children\u201d while it remains hidden from the \u201cwise and learned.\u201d This isn\u2019t God playing favorites; it\u2019s a picture of posture. Pride closes us off because it insists we\u2019re fine, informed, and in control. Humility opens us up because it admits need and receives what can\u2019t be earned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Religious performance can make us feel advanced while we\u2019re actually stuck\u2014knowing about God but not knowing Him. Like the sermon\u2019s illustration, we can be confident we\u2019re \u201csmart enough\u201d only to discover we grabbed the backpack instead of the parachute. Today is an invitation to become childlike: honest about your need, eager to learn, and willing to be led by Jesus rather than your own self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Where has spiritual pride or self-reliance shown up in your life recently (even subtly)?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">What is one area where you\u2019ve been trying to \u201cmanage\u201d God instead of trusting Him?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Ask God for a childlike heart\u2014what words would you use to pray that honestly?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Who in your life models humble, gentle faith, and what do you notice about their relationship with Jesus?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Practice one act of humility today: apologize, ask for help, or admit uncertainty without defending yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Matthew 11:27<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus says that no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. Christianity is not mainly about collecting religious information; it\u2019s about receiving a relationship that Jesus opens for us. The center is not your ability to climb up to God, but Jesus\u2019 willingness to bring you in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The sermon emphasized the difference between knowing about God and knowing God. You can be surrounded by religious activity and still keep God at arm\u2019s length. Today, let Jesus define what God is like: not distant and impossible to please, but a Father revealed through the Son\u2014personal, present, and trustworthy. This reframes spiritual growth: it\u2019s less about earning approval and more about becoming like the One you\u2019re with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus describes His heart as \u201cgentle and humble.\u201d If the version of faith you\u2019ve practiced produces harshness, superiority, or constant inner condemnation, it\u2019s worth asking who you\u2019ve been learning from. Today, consider that Jesus\u2019 yoke includes His pace, His tenderness, and His humility. He forms those traits in us as we stay close, especially in ordinary pressures and relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">What has been your \u201cteacher\u201d lately: anxiety, comparison, people-pleasing, or Jesus? How can you tell?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Where do you feel rushed or heavy-laden, and what might Jesus\u2019 pace look like there?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Identify one relationship where you need to embody Jesus\u2019 gentleness this week\u2014what would that require?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">What spiritual practice has started to feel like punishment instead of relationship, and how could you re-approach it with Jesus?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Pray today: \u201cJesus, teach me how to live this day Your way,\u201d and listen for one specific next step.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Day 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Matthew 11:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Jesus promises that His yoke is easy and His burden is light\u2014not because life is painless, but because we\u2019re no longer carrying life alone or trying to prove ourselves. A yoke is designed for shared work; Jesus offers a way of living where He shoulders the weight and guides the direction. The \u201clight\u201d burden is the freedom of grace: you\u2019re held, led, and corrected without being crushed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">The sermon also highlighted how even disciples can turn Jesus\u2019 yoke into an unbearable burden when we slip back into obligation without intimacy. Healthy Christian community helps us keep the real Jesus in view\u2014gentle, humble, welcoming\u2014so we don\u2019t confuse spiritual growth with spiritual shame.
