What a wonderful Sunday! We kicked off our 2025 VBS, and we also welcomed John Kim and his family from New Hampshire. As John shared, his family has been back in the U.S. for a year, following a two year stay back in Korea while his visa status was approved. In the meantime, the Korean church in Manchester went through difficult times. Missing their pastor meant uncertainty and even losing some members to other churches. Returning has involved John working to find stability and create renewed confidence in his struggling flock. Please, join with me in praying for our sister church in New Hampshire as John seeks to reach the Korean community in his area.
Talking with John and his wife following their time with us, they conveyed how blessed they felt to be so warmly welcomed. Jihye, John’s wife, shared that this has been a “healing” trip for them and that she would love to attend Bailey if she lived nearby! It says so much that folks, both from near and far, have the same experience when they worship with us: a warm, Christian family who loves and welcomes them. You have no idea what a blessing an experience like this can be for missionaries when they visit. To know that they are part of a bigger mission and a bigger family gives hope and breathes new life into their lives and ministries. I am so proud to call Bailey my church!
